EWINGS’ contribution helps establish a new vocational media unit

Dubai: EWINGS, managing operator of Mahzooz, the UAE’s leading weekly draw with the biggest and most frequent pay-out, has recently partnered with Al Noor to establish a vocational media unit, aiming at helping students of determination receive specialized multi-media training.

The newly established media unit will complement the existing vocational training activities offered at Al Noor which has several other facilities spanning a carpentry, art and craft studio, gym, sports auditorium, swimming pool, music room and library, besides well-equipped therapy and multi-sensory rooms.

Featuring the latest filming and editing equipment, the new media unit offers students above the age of 14, hands-on training in various aspects of filming, broadcasting, news anchoring, reporting, editing, interviewing and social media skills. This comes in line with the centre’s mission to provide learners of determination, professional training and care to realise their highest potential and integrate into the wider community. The centre is currently providing care for more than 190 students of determination and has been providing rehabilitation services to the community of determined individuals in UAE for over the past 40 years.

“Our mission of changing people’s lives is not complete without the strategic partnerships with established institutions such as Al Noor, because it is through such organizations that we are able to provide life-changing and sustainable opportunities to the most determined individuals in our society,” says Farid Samji, CEO, EWINGS, managing operator of Mahzooz.

“Like our other vocational divisions, the new media unit will help our students not only build their confidence, but also develop their speaking and listening skills, improve literacy, and give them a voice. Thanks to EWINGS among many other generous sponsors, we are able to continue with our mission of providing professional services that impact the quality of our student’s life and their inclusion into the larger community” Ranjini Ramnath, Director Al Noor, explained.

Mahzooz has been an integral long-term partner of many institutions that specialize in the education, training and rehabilitation of people of determination and had impacted the lives of over 8000 beneficiaries through its active community outreach program.
