UAE NATO partnership discussions at Munich Security Conference focus on regional stability, Ukraine conflict and future cooperation.
MUNICH: UAE NATO partnership discussions took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, where Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State, met with Mark Rutte, Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
The meeting covered key issues on the global agenda, including the conflict in Ukraine and ongoing developments in the Middle East. Nusseibeh emphasised the importance of de escalating tensions and advancing political solutions through responsible and effective diplomacy.
UAE NATO partnership cooperation was also a central focus of the discussions. Nusseibeh highlighted the UAE’s long standing engagement with NATO, noting sustained training collaboration and the country’s participation in NATO led operations across multiple regions.
Both sides reviewed opportunities to further strengthen institutional ties and expand areas of mutual interest. The dialogue reflected shared priorities in promoting stability, security cooperation and constructive international engagement.
The meeting underscored the UAE’s role as an active partner in global security initiatives, while reaffirming NATO’s commitment to maintaining open channels of communication with key regional partners.
