The successful landing of a lunar lander evoked a sense of pride and happiness among the Indian community, as it would demonstrate advancements of India in space technology and the country’s capability to conduct complex space missions.

The European Space Agency (ESA) on Wednesday congratulated India on the spectacular feat of landing Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the moon, often called the ‘dark side’, as the event garnered global coverage by every news network in the world.

The ESA wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Congratulations ISRO & team”, an hour after confirming the soft landing on the moon and the pictures relayed by Chandrayan-3 from approach to descent.

Verge, a noted space website, praised India saying: “India makes space travel history by landing Chandrayaan 3 on the south pole of the moon. The lunar mission of India has made space travel history today by successfully achieving a soft landing near the South Pole of Earth’s moon, just days after Russia’s Luna 25 spacecraft crashed while trying to land in the same region. India is now the fourth nation to achieve a soft moon landing and the first to have successfully touched down on the lunar South Pole — a little-explored area of the moon that’s believed to contain water ice.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, congratulates India on its successful landing on moon.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman & Managing Director, of Aster DM Healthcare congratulates ISRO on the successful landing of India’s Chandrayaan-3 on the moon.

“Heartiest congratulations! It’s a moment of immense pride. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully landed on the lunar surface, marking a historic milestone in our nation’s space exploration journey. ISRO has once again demonstrated its prowess in space technology. This achievement owes its success to the dedicated efforts of our brilliant scientists and engineers, with unwavering support from the nation’s leadership, led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As we celebrate this monumental accomplishment, let’s remember that space exploration unites us all as citizens of Earth. Let’s continue to support and encourage scientific endeavors that push the boundaries of human knowledge and inspire generations to come.”

Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman, Nikai Group of Companies expressed his happiness and said “India unfurls its tricolor on the moon. My heartiest congratulations to all my Indian countrymen and indeed the entire world for a great leap forward for mankind. India has achieved what no other country in the world has done, by making a soft landing on the South Pole of the Moon. This is a massive leap for mankind which has opened up new possibilities in exploring the mysteries of Space.

The entire world and particularly from compatriots from India were holding their breath for this miraculous achievement in the unexplored territory of the moon. India joins the exclusive Club of Four to achieve a soft landing on Moon, although India is the 1st country to do the soft landing on the South Pole of the Noon. It is a big relief for the global science community to see Chandrayaan 3 Vikram Lander making a soft landing after an unfortunate crash landing of the spacecraft Russia a week ago. India and the entire mankind are proud of Chandrayaan 3’s success. Our heartiest congratulations to the brilliant scientist of ISRO. God bless India.”
