At SIBF 2025, creators Woody & Kleiny shared their viral journey, stressing authenticity, humour, and emotional connection over chasing numbers.

SHARJAH: The 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025) saw digital stardom meet storytelling as UK content creators Woody & Kleiny lit up the Social Media Station with insights into their creative world. Known globally for their viral comedy and challenges, the duo shared the viral success secrets behind their 50 million-strong following — and how their journey began with unexpected setbacks.

Before becoming internet icons, Woody & Kleiny travelled the world as freestyle footballers, collaborating with legends like Messi and Ronaldo. But a serious back injury changed Kleiny’s life trajectory, pushing the duo toward online content creation. “It was a crossroads,” Kleiny shared. “But as best friends, we made a decision to pivot together — and it was the best thing we ever did.”

Their YouTube journey started in 2013, but real traction came five years later with a million-view video. The duo’s breakout success came not from chasing algorithms, but from consistently delivering content filled with humour, emotion, and relatability.

Speaking to a packed room at SIBF 2025, they revealed six key elements that make content resonate: topicality, surprise, adventure, inspiration, humour, and emotion. But their biggest takeaway? “The real secret is being yourself,” they said. “Authenticity matters more than any viral trend.”

They also credited Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret for influencing their mindset. “Manifestation, mindset, and hard work — those are the pillars of our journey,” Woody noted. Ending on a high, they staged a surprise treasure hunt with hidden copies of The Secret, giving fans a chance to win signed books and photos.

Their SIBF session was a celebration of passion, perseverance, and playfulness — proving that viral success starts from within.
