UAE’s Year of Community 2025 promotes unity, cultural heritage, and progress, fostering collaboration and inclusivity nationwide.

ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared 2025 as the Year of Community under the slogan Hand in Hand. This national initiative reflects the UAE’s vision to strengthen unity and empower communities.

The Year of Community focuses on fostering bonds within families and society by preserving cultural heritage and nurturing intergenerational ties. It aims to create inclusive spaces that promote collaboration, belonging, and shared experiences, encouraging all UAE residents to contribute through community service, volunteering, and impactful initiatives.

The initiative also seeks to unlock individual and organisational potential by developing skills, nurturing talents, and driving innovation in key areas like entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence. These efforts align with the UAE’s national priorities, promoting inclusive growth and long-term positive impact.

Overseen by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the initiative will launch various events to enhance community cohesion, celebrate Emirati values, and provide opportunities for meaningful contributions.

The Year of Community invites everyone—citizens and residents alike—to share ideas and proposals to strengthen social bonds, foster progress, and celebrate the UAE’s cultural diversity. Through these efforts, the initiative aims to build a strong, united, and thriving nation.

This landmark declaration highlights the UAE’s commitment to unity, shared responsibility, and collective progress, ensuring a future where every member of the community feels valued and empowered to contribute.
