NCM forecasts unstable weather across UAE tomorrow with heavy rain, strong winds, rough seas and a drop in temperatures.
ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued an alert for unstable weather conditions across the UAE on Tuesday, December 19, 2025, with widespread rainfall and a noticeable drop in temperatures expected.
The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with convective clouds forming over various parts of the country. These clouds are likely to bring moderate to heavy rainfall, which may be accompanied by lightning, thunder and isolated hail in some areas.
The NCM also forecast strong southeasterly to northwesterly winds, shifting throughout the day and ranging between 20 to 40 kilometres per hour, with gusts reaching up to 60 kilometres per hour during periods of cloud activity. These winds are expected to cause blowing dust and sand, leading to reduced visibility in open areas.
Marine conditions will also be affected. The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience rough to very rough seas, while the Sea of Oman will be rough, especially during convective cloud activity.
Authorities are urging residents and motorists to remain cautious, particularly in low-lying areas prone to flooding, and to avoid driving through valleys or waterlogged roads during heavy rain. The public is also advised to monitor official weather updates and adhere to all safety instructions.
The NCM continues to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates if necessary. Unstable weather patterns are typical during this seasonal period and are expected to ease later in the week.
