ABU DHABI: The UAE weather forecast points to generally fair weather across the country on Wednesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). While skies are expected to remain mostly clear, residents are being advised to prepare for periods of blowing dust and sand as winds strengthen throughout the day.
The NCM said light to moderate south-westerly to north-westerly winds will prevail, with speeds ranging between 10 and 25 kilometres per hour. Wind speeds could increase to as much as 40 kilometres per hour at times, particularly in exposed areas. These conditions may reduce horizontal visibility and create challenging driving conditions on some roads.
Authorities have urged motorists to remain cautious during dusty spells and to follow traffic advisories where necessary. Reduced visibility can develop quickly when sand is lifted by stronger winds, especially across open desert regions and highways.
The UAE weather forecast also includes changing sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf. Waters are expected to be light to moderate overall but may become rough at times due to stronger winds. According to the forecast, the first high tide in the Arabian Gulf is expected at 16:02, followed by a second high tide at 02:11. The first low tide is forecast at 09:14, while the second low tide will occur at 19:55.
In contrast, conditions in the Oman Sea are expected to remain calm and light. The first high tide is forecast at 11:58, with the second occurring at 22:53. Low tides are expected at 17:50 and 05:42.
The UAE weather forecast remains favourable for most outdoor activities, although residents should stay updated on local weather alerts and take precautions during periods of dust and sand movement. Weather conditions can change quickly, particularly in coastal and desert areas.
