Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed meets Kuwait’s Defence Minister during ‘UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ week to strengthen ties and explore cooperation.
Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met with His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al‑Salem Al‑Sabah, Minister of Defence of the State of Kuwait, as part of the ‘UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever’ week, which commenced across all emirates. The meeting reaffirmed the deep fraternal ties, strategic partnership and mutual respect shared by the UAE and Kuwait.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan warmly welcomed the Kuwaiti Minister of Defence during the official meeting and expressed pride in the longstanding relations between the two nations and their peoples. In his remarks, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the continued advancement of bilateral relations across various fields, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al‑Ahmad Al‑Jaber Al‑Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
Speaking about the enduring relationship, His Highness said “The UAE and Kuwait are brothers forever. We look forward with confidence to a future of shared dreams and an unwavering determination to build a better tomorrow. Kuwait and its people are, and will always be, in our hearts: a fountain of nobility and beacon of wisdom.” He added that celebrating the fraternal ties between the UAE and Kuwait, under the directives of the UAE leadership, conveys a message of profound appreciation and affection and reaffirms the depth of the historical partnership between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including His Excellency Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE; His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports; and His Excellency Saeed Al Eter, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office.
During the discussions, both sides emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation across diverse fields and exploring new areas of mutual interest, alongside priority regional and international developments. Both parties reaffirmed their leaderships’ commitments to strengthening bilateral ties, exploring opportunities to support sustainable development in both nations and fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples for a more prosperous future.
