Over 40 cultural, entertainment and economic events will take place across the UAE during UAE-Kuwait Week 2026, spotlighting UAE Kuwait cultural ties.
ABU DHABI: The UAE will launch a week-long celebration of its enduring relationship with Kuwait on Thursday, January 29, with over 40 events planned across all seven emirates. Titled ‘UAE & Kuwait: Brothers Forever’, the programme reflects the strength of historical ties and shared values between the two nations.
Organised under the directives of the UAE leadership, the UAE-Kuwait Week will continue until February 4, spotlighting cultural exchange, economic cooperation and people-to-people connections under the theme of UAE Kuwait cultural ties.
The festivities include fireworks, drone shows, a marine parade, and concerts celebrating Kuwaiti and Emirati heritage. Landmarks across the UAE will be illuminated in the colours of the Kuwaiti flag, symbolising unity and mutual respect.
Abu Dhabi will host the Kuwait’s Timeless Nights concert on January 29 at ADNEC, featuring artists including Nabil Shuail, Ahlam, and Eida Al Menhali. Other highlights include a sailboat parade along the capital’s waterfront and special experiences on Yas Island, offering discounts and activities exclusive to Emirati and Kuwaiti citizens.
Dubai will present a similar celebration, with a major concert on January 30 at Burj Park, showcasing performances by Hussain Al Jassmi, Balqees, and Mutref Al Mutref. Kite Beach will transform into a vibrant cultural venue with food festivals, youth gatherings and an air show by the Fursan Al Emarat team.
Kuwaiti citizens arriving in the UAE during this period will receive warm welcomes at airports, including souvenirs and cultural hospitality. Malls, cafés and tourist attractions across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates will join in with themed installations and traditional performances.
The UAE-Kuwait Media Forum, scheduled for 29 January, will honour key media figures and explore the legacy of bilateral collaboration through rare archives and panel discussions.
This will be followed by the UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum on 2 February, where business leaders and officials will discuss trade growth, investment opportunities and ways to support entrepreneurship.
In Fujairah, celebrations will centre around Fujairah Castle, with live performances, crafts and exhibitions. Ras Al Khaimah will host a Kuwaiti Food Festival at Al Marjan Island and a closing concert on 4 February.
The week also pays tribute to the foundational roles of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, whose leadership built the cornerstone of today’s strong diplomatic and social ties. Kuwait was one of the first countries to recognise the UAE after its union in 1971, leading to the establishment of embassies in both capitals in 1972.
Through UAE-Kuwait Week, the two nations reaffirm their enduring alliance rooted in history, culture and shared values, with UAE Kuwait cultural ties taking centre stage in a celebration of unity.
