An incident of falling shrapnel at Sweihan Street leaves two dead, three injured

Authorities confirmed the Sweihan shrapnel incident caused two deaths, three injuries, and vehicle damage after missile interception.

ABU DHABI, 26th March, 2026 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi authorities have responded to an incident involving falling shrapnel in Sweihan street, following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the incident resulted in two fatalities, three injuries, and damage to a number of vehicles.
