DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, toured the Dubai Airshow 2025, currently underway at Dubai World Central under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
On the second day of the event, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised Dubai’s growing stature as a global aviation hub, noting that hosting top aviation manufacturers and innovators under one roof affirms the emirate’s leading role in shaping the future of air and space technologies.
He remarked that the Airshow promotes vital global dialogue, helping forge international partnerships that support progress, security, and prosperity. Over the years, the biennial Dubai Airshow has become a pivotal event for showcasing collaboration and cutting-edge innovation across the aerospace industry.
This year’s show features over 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 first-time participants and representation from 115 countries. With more than 200 aircraft on display—from commercial airliners to military jets and UAVs—the event serves as a dynamic platform for exploring the aviation sector’s future.
During the tour, Sheikh Hamdan examined key aircraft, including Bombardier’s Global 7500, Gulfstream’s G800 and G700 models, and China’s first commercial aircraft, the COMAC C919. These jets reflect global advances in performance, sustainability, and digital flight systems.
With the theme ‘The Future Is Here’, Dubai Airshow 2025 is not only a showcase of aeronautical innovation but also a reflection of Dubai’s strategic commitment to fostering a knowledge-based economy and next-generation industries.
