Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid hails Dubai Airshow as a platform advancing UAE’s global leadership in aviation and technology.

DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has reaffirmed the importance of the Dubai Airshow as a true reflection of the nation’s forward-thinking approach to UAE aviation innovation and technological advancement.

Speaking on the eve of the 19th edition of the event, held at Dubai World Central, Sheikh Mohammed described the airshow as a global platform that strengthens the UAE’s role in advancing aerospace, space, and defence solutions. With its record-breaking scale and participation this year, the airshow demonstrates the country’s ongoing commitment to leading in emerging sectors and building a globally respected ecosystem for innovation.

“Over the years, Dubai Airshow has established itself as one of the world’s leading aerospace and technology platforms,” His Highness said, “It has become a preferred destination for unveiling the latest innovations and technologies, and an open laboratory for advancing ideas that are redefining the future of vital industries.”

This year, the airshow hosts over 1,500 exhibitors, 440 of whom are debuting at the event. It is expected to welcome 148,000 trade visitors and 490 civil and military delegations from 115 nations. The show also features 21 country pavilions, including Morocco’s first-ever participation, along with 98 chalets, 120 startups, and 50 investors spread across an 8,000-square-metre exhibition area.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, the UAE’s continued success lies in its unwavering investment in science, technology, and knowledge sectors. “The exhibition embodies our belief that science and innovation are the most effective ways to secure the future of nations,” he said, highlighting the country’s efforts to create an integrated aviation ecosystem that contributes to global peace and sustainable growth.

Welcoming senior officials, thought leaders and innovators from around the world, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pride in Dubai hosting such a globally significant event, stating that it underscores the UAE’s ongoing role as a vital hub for aviation excellence and UAE aviation innovation.

Running until 21 November, Dubai Airshow 2025 remains a cornerstone event for global aerospace collaboration, showcasing the latest developments in aviation, airports, space technologies, and defence.
