Dubai Airshow 2025 opens tomorrow under the theme ‘The Future is Here’, showcasing the largest flying display and space pavilion in its history.
DUBAI: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the highly anticipated Dubai Airshow 2025 is set to begin tomorrow, 17 November, at Dubai World Central (DWC). Celebrated as one of the world’s most prominent aerospace and defence events, this year’s edition is themed ‘The Future is Here’ and will run until 21 November.
With over 1,500 exhibitors including 440 debut participants, the airshow promises to be its biggest yet. The event will host 148,000 trade visitors, 490 military and civil delegations from 115 countries, and 21 country pavilions—featuring Morocco for the first time. Visitors can explore 98 chalets and an expanded 8,000 square metres of exhibition space.
A record-breaking 200+ aircraft will take part in both flying and static displays, showcasing next-gen aviation technology. Attendees can see cutting-edge models like Joby Aviation’s eVTOL, the COMAC C919 and C929, and the General Atomics Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA). For the first time ever, electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft will feature in the flying display, highlighting Dubai’s ambition in the Advanced Air Mobility space.
The Dubai Airshow 2025 will also feature its largest-ever Space Pavilion, created in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency. Over 50 international experts, astronauts, and innovators will attend a two-day Space Conference, discussing everything from responsible space exploration to commercialisation strategies. Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, called the event a “global platform to showcase UAE’s remarkable progress in the space sector”.
Complementing this, the airshow’s Inspiration Zone and NextGen Leaders programme will spotlight innovation, startup pitches, and university-led research. Meanwhile, Vista, the startup hub for aerospace disruptors, returns to accelerate transformation in the sector.
Sustainability is a key focus this year. The show will operate using 100% renewable electricity and introduce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), electric-powered ground equipment, and the ‘Better Stands’ initiative for reusable stand structures.
Attendees can expect a more engaging experience than ever, with Dubai Airshow extending into the evening for the first time. Highlights include live entertainment, drone shows, and SkyView public grandstands offering access to spectacular aerial displays and family-friendly activations.
Dubai Airshow 2025 continues to position the UAE as a global hub for aerospace innovation, defence collaboration, and sustainable aviation progress.
