DUBAI: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is marking Ramadan with 20 community-driven initiatives, bringing together employees, volunteers, and residents to support people in need. These events, taking place at RTA headquarters, metro stations, and marine transport hubs, reflect Dubai’s spirit of compassion and unity during the holy month.

Five major external initiatives will roll out from the first day of Ramadan. Among them is the ‘Iftar Saem’ campaign, organised in partnership with Beit Al Khair Society, ensuring meals reach those in need. Another key initiative, ‘Meals on Wheels,’ begins in the second week of Ramadan, delivering food to bus, delivery, and truck drivers, as well as labour accommodations and abra commuters.

To further extend the Ramadan spirit, RTA will distribute 5,000 Iftar meals at metro stations, ensuring passengers breaking their fasts have a meal on hand. Additionally, metro station kiosks will offer symbolic gifts to labourers, highlighting the value of appreciation and generosity.

These RTA Ramadan initiatives are designed to uplift people of determination, orphans, cyclists, truck drivers, metro passengers, and families in need. By fostering a culture of giving, RTA continues to uphold Dubai’s heritage of community support and inclusivity.
