Palm Jumeirah building fire is under control after emergency teams responded swiftly, with four individuals injured and hospitalised.
DUBAI: Palm Jumeirah building fire was brought under control after an incident occurred in a property in the area, according to an official statement issued by Dubai Media Office. Authorities confirmed that emergency response teams were deployed immediately and the site has since been secured.
In its statement, Dubai Media Office said, “Dubai authorities confirm that an incident occurred in a building in the Palm Jumeirah area. Emergency response teams were deployed immediately and the site has been secured. Dubai Civil Defence has confirmed that the resulting fire is now under control.”
Officials confirmed that four individuals sustained injuries and were transferred to medical facilities for treatment. Authorities emphasised that the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors remain the highest priority as investigations continue.
“The safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors remain the highest priority. Authorities continue to take all necessary measures to safeguard the public,” the statement added.
It remains unclear whether the hotel was directly struck by a missile or if the fire resulted from debris following the interception of a projectile by UAE defence systems. The property management has not confirmed any structural damage at this stage.
The Palm Jumeirah building fire comes amid heightened regional tensions, with precautionary security measures in place across the UAE. Officials have urged residents to rely solely on verified information from official sources while assessments are ongoing.
