Etihad unveils special livery to celebrate its 20th anniversary

Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways has unveiled a special new design on one of its A321neo aircraft to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The livery features artistic line-style artwork that symbolizes unity and reflects the airline’s Emirati identity. It highlights iconic landmarks of Abu Dhabi, where Etihad is based, showcasing the airline’s deep roots in the region over the past two decades.

Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad’s CEO, expressed that the Etihad anniversary livery marks a milestone in their journey of providing exceptional service and reflects their ambition to be a preferred airline globally.

The specially designed decal covers both sides of the aircraft in Arabic and English. This A321neo is part of a fleet expansion effort by Etihad, which includes six of these fuel-efficient aircraft equipped with CFM LEAP 1A engines. These engines offer improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions, supporting Etihad’s commitment to sustainability.

John Wright, Etihad’s Chief Operations and Guest Officer, highlighted the airline’s agility in bringing these new aircraft into service swiftly, despite global challenges in aircraft deliveries. He mentioned that Etihad’s teams and partners worked efficiently to integrate the A321neos into their fleet in just seven months, a process that typically takes up to two years.

These new aircraft will operate on various routes, including destinations in India and the Middle East, giving passengers across Etihad’s network the opportunity to experience the airline’s new anniversary livery. This initiative not only celebrates Etihad’s 20-year history but also sets the stage for future growth and enhanced passenger experiences.
