Emirates UAE flag livery debuts on Airbus A380 as airline celebrates national unity and pride across global skies.
DUBAI: Emirates UAE flag livery has been officially unveiled on one of the airline’s iconic Airbus A380 aircraft, creating a bold visual tribute to the spirit and unity of the UAE. The striking design transforms the world’s largest passenger aircraft into a flying symbol of national pride.
The new livery, featured on aircraft A6-EVG, extends the airline’s well-known tail design with a large UAE flag stretching across both sides of the fuselage in a three-dimensional style. The initiative forms part of Emirates’ ‘This Flag Will Always Fly’ campaign, launched in response to a nationwide call encouraging citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag as a symbol of solidarity and strength.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said the airline was proud to honour the country through the Emirates UAE flag livery, noting that every Emirates aircraft has always carried the national colours around the world. He described the skies as the perfect stage to showcase the UAE flag and celebrate the nation’s achievements.
The specially painted Airbus A380 has already operated flights to destinations including New York and Brisbane, with plans to expand the design across more routes within the airline’s global network. Emirates also confirmed intentions to apply the livery to a Boeing 777 in the future.
The Emirates UAE flag livery joins a history of commemorative aircraft designs used to mark significant moments in the country’s history. Previous initiatives included tributes to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and special liveries dedicated to Expo 2020 Dubai.
As the aircraft travels across continents, the new design reinforces the UAE’s image as a nation defined by ambition, unity, and global connectivity.
