DUBAI: The world’s largest visa application centre has officially opened in Wafi City, DUBAI, setting a new global benchmark for visa processing. Launched by VFS Global, the centre is a major step in boosting international mobility and making Dubai even more accessible.

Spanning nearly 150,000 square feet, the new Visa Application Centre can process up to 10,000 visa applications daily. Staffed by more than 400 professionals from over 25 countries, the facility is designed to serve more than 200 nationalities, streamlining the visa process with unmatched efficiency and scale.

The centre was inaugurated by key officials, including Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism; Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai; and Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global.

Helal Almarri said the launch is more than just an infrastructure achievement—it’s part of Dubai’s broader strategy under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to enhance global mobility, attract talent, and strengthen business and tourism links.

Mohammed Al Marri described the centre as a reflection of Dubai’s commitment to excellence and innovation in smart services and international connectivity.

Zubin Karkaria emphasised VFS Global’s two-decade journey in the UAE and how the launch of this flagship centre highlights Dubai’s rapid transformation into a global business and technology hub.

With this launch, Dubai cements its position as a global leader in streamlined visa services, paving the way for greater ease of travel, business exchange, and tourism growth.
