Dubai Fitness Challenge returns from October 31 to November 29 for its milestone tenth edition, inviting everyone to complete 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days.

DUBAI: Dubai Fitness Challenge returns for its tenth edition from October 31 to November 29, 2026, marking a decade of the citywide initiative that has encouraged millions of residents and visitors to make physical activity part of everyday life.

Organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Sports Council, the milestone edition will once again challenge people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 consecutive days.

The 2026 programme is set to be the initiative’s largest and most community-focused edition yet, combining major mass-participation experiences with Fitness Villages, Fitness Hubs and thousands of activities, classes and activations across Dubai.

Flagship experiences will include Dubai Run, Dubai Ride, Dubai Stand Up Paddle and Dubai Yoga. Dubai Run is confirmed for November 22, with participants able to choose between 5km and 10km routes, while Dubai Stand Up Paddle will return to Hatta Dam on November 7 and 8.

Launched in 2017 under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Challenge began with a straightforward 30×30 concept: move for 30 minutes every day for 30 days.

That idea has since developed into one of Dubai’s biggest community initiatives. More than 16 million participants have joined across its first nine editions, with participation growing from 786,000 people during the inaugural edition to more than three million in 2025.

Dubai Fitness Challenge has also expanded beyond its headline events. Fitness Hubs were introduced across the city in 2019, and their number had increased to 30 by 2025, giving communities more opportunities to access activities closer to home.

The initiative’s evolution has also introduced new ways to get active. Dubai Run arrived in 2019, followed by Dubai Ride in 2020. Dubai Stand Up Paddle joined the programme in 2023, while Dubai Yoga was introduced in 2024.

For its tenth edition, digital innovation is expected to play a greater role in connecting participants and encouraging more people to make the 30×30 commitment.

The wider objective remains bigger than completing a single month of exercise. The programme aims to encourage sustainable habits and strengthen Dubai’s ambition to become one of the world’s most active cities.

The tenth edition could further strengthen active living as part of Dubai’s everyday culture. With free and accessible activities across the city, the programme gives residents and visitors different ways to start healthier routines while bringing communities together through sport and wellness.
