ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, met with senior executives from the Walt Disney Company to discuss the development of the Disney Theme Park Resort on Yas Island. The delegation included Disney Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences. Discussions centred on project milestones, guest experience, and the strategic vision behind the Abu Dhabi resort, which was announced in May 2025 following a landmark partnership between Miral and Disney.

Set to become one of the region’s largest tourism destinations, the Disney Theme Park Resort will add to Yas Island’s existing lineup of global attractions. The resort will join Yas Island’s iconic attractions such as Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, offering immersive entertainment and world-class facilities. With construction timelines progressing, the Disney Yas Island Resort is expected to draw millions of visitors annually, unlocking new opportunities in the tourism, retail and hospitality sectors.
