IIM Ahmedabad has launched India’s first-of-its-kind Blended MBA Programme in Business Analytics & AI, equipping professionals with cross-functional leadership and data-driven capabilities.
AHMEDABAD: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), one of India’s top-ranked management schools, has launched a pioneering two-year Blended MBA Programme in Business Analytics & AI — the first of its kind in the country. The programme is aimed at working professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to bridge the gap between business leadership and the fast-growing field of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Unveiled at IIMA’s campus on 6 November 2025, the MBA programme combines general management training with technical depth in AI, offering participants the skills to lead digital transformation across sectors. Designed with a blended format, it includes live virtual sessions and three in-person modules at IIMA.
The curriculum integrates AI-driven problem-solving with leadership and strategy, offering 20 electives such as predictive analytics, AI ethics, and product management. Learners will also gain remote access to IIMA’s resources, including the Vikram Sarabhai Library and computing infrastructure.
Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Director of IIMA, said, “Analytics and AI are at the heart of modern enterprise value creation. This programme enables managers to combine analytical fluency with responsible innovation and business impact.”
Prof. Diptesh Ghosh, Dean (Programmes), emphasised the goal of developing AI-literate leaders, while Prof. Anindya Chakrabarti, Chairperson of the programme, explained its structure and industry relevance. “Participants will learn to frame real-world business problems using data-first principles and apply sophisticated AI solutions,” he said.
Applicants must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate and relevant work experience. Admission can be secured via CAT, GMAT, GRE, or through IIMA’s own entrance exam scheduled for December 2025.
Graduates will receive a full MBA degree from IIMA and join its prestigious global alumni network. The programme also includes a flexible exit option with a diploma after the first year.
