Air India Express has launched limited-time discounted baggage rates for travellers flying to India from the Middle East, offering cheap extra baggage options.
DUBAI: Air India Express, India’s first international value airline, has announced a special limited-period offer for passengers travelling to India from the Middle East. The airline is allowing guests to pre-book 5 kg or 10 kg of additional baggage at discounted prices.
The offer is applicable to travellers from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It is valid for bookings made until 31 January 2026, for travel scheduled between 16 January and 10 March 2026. Passengers can avail of the deal through the airline’s official website, mobile app, and other authorised booking platforms, subject to availability.
As part of this promotion, travellers can purchase extra check-in baggage at significantly low prices: BHD 0.2 in Bahrain, KWD 0.2 in Kuwait, OMR 0.2 in Oman, QAR 2 in Qatar, SAR 2 in Saudi Arabia, and AED 2 in the UAE, available in increments of 5 kg and 10 kg.
The offer is available across all fare categories including Xpress Value, Xpress Lite, Xpress Flex and Xpress Biz, although it must be selected during the booking process. Air India Express already offers a standard baggage allowance of 30 kg on these routes, except for its Xpress Lite fares which come with no check-in baggage.
With this limited-time deal, travellers can now carry up to 40 kg of check-in baggage, making it easier to bring along gifts, essentials, and personal items when visiting loved ones in India.
