MUSCAT: The Starlink internet in Oman has officially launched following approval from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). With Starlink Muscat now authorised as an internet provider, the Sultanate is set to benefit from high-speed satellite broadband.
Starlink, a low-orbit satellite technology, offers internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps, ensuring reliable coverage even in remote areas. This is a game-changer for regions that previously lacked stable internet access.
Beyond households and businesses, Starlink Muscat will play a crucial role in connecting telecom towers in Oman’s challenging terrains. This will enhance digital transformation and support key economic sectors like oil and gas, mining, tourism, and agriculture.
