DUBAI: The Fathers’ Endowment campaign has shattered expectations, raising AED 3.72 billion—double its target—in less than a month. With over 277,000 contributors, this initiative, launched on February 21 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is a landmark effort to honour fathers while funding sustainable healthcare for the less fortunate.
His Highness celebrated the campaign’s overwhelming success, highlighting the UAE’s deep-rooted spirit of generosity and unity. Contributions poured in from individuals, businesses, and major philanthropists, with Azizi Developments donating AED 3 billion—the largest private sector contribution in UAE history—to build a state-of-the-art medical complex in Dubai.
Other notable donors include Sunny Varkey (AED 100 million) and several real estate developers, funding hospitals and medical infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Most Noble Number charity auctions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi raised an additional AED 167.4 million, demonstrating widespread community support.
Managed by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign follows the legacy of previous Ramadan endowments, such as the 1 Billion Meals and Mothers’ Endowment, reinforcing the UAE’s humanitarian leadership.
Contributions remain open, ensuring continued support for healthcare in underserved communities. The campaign cements the UAE’s commitment to philanthropy, proving once again that collective generosity can drive real change.
