Kuwaiti investments in Sharjah real estate reached AED1.049 billion in 2025, showcasing strong bilateral economic ties.

SHARJAH: Kuwaiti investments in Sharjah real estate surged to AED1.049 billion in 2025, marking a 72.7% increase compared to the previous year. The figures were released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department during the “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” week, highlighting deep economic and cultural links between the two nations.

The report confirmed that Kuwaiti nationals owned 5,660 properties in Sharjah by the end of 2025. Kuwaiti developers also contributed to 13 real estate projects, reinforcing their ongoing role in shaping the emirate’s built landscape. These figures underscore the long-term commitment of Kuwaiti investors to the Sharjah real estate market.

Trading activity also witnessed a sharp rise. In 2025, 868 properties were traded by Kuwaiti investors, up from 573 in 2024, reflecting a 51.7% increase. Additionally, the number of Kuwaiti investors jumped by 38.2%, reaching 811 individuals in 2025. These data points highlight the expanding base of Kuwaiti stakeholders in the emirate’s property sector.

Kuwaiti investments in Sharjah real estate continue to benefit from the emirate’s supportive legislative framework, sustainable infrastructure, and high-quality real estate services. The growth also reflects trust in Sharjah’s economic environment and shared values between the two countries.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director-General of the department, stated: “The growing investments of Kuwaiti nationals in Sharjah’s real estate sector reflect the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries.” He reaffirmed Sharjah’s commitment to providing top-tier services for Kuwaiti investors and nurturing this important partnership.
