Ferrari 296 Speciale debuts in the Middle East, showcasing extreme power, aerodynamic finesse, and hybrid innovation.
Dubai: The Ferrari 296 Speciale has made its dramatic Middle East debut in Dubai, shortly after its global unveiling in Maranello. This special series mid-rear-engined Berlinetta redefines driving thrill with unmatched agility, responsiveness, and hybrid performance.
Part of Ferrari’s elite lineup, the 296 Speciale follows icons like the 430 Scuderia and 488 Pista, raising the bar for emotional engagement and track-capable precision. Powered by a rear-mid 120° V6 twin-turbo and electric motor, it produces a staggering 880 hp—50 more than the 296 GTB—making it the most powerful rear-wheel-drive Ferrari production model to date.
Giorgio Turri, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East, stated: “With supreme agility and unmatched engagement, the 296 Speciale sets a new benchmark for performance.”
Ferrari engineers drew from motorsport for lightweight materials, aerodynamic advances, and powertrain enhancements. The car’s V6 engine now features titanium connecting rods, reinforced pistons, and a Formula 1-derived knock control system. Meanwhile, the uprated electric motor contributes 180 cv with extra boost mode, pushing acceleration and shift performance further.
With 435 kg of downforce at 250 km/h—20% more than the GTB—the Ferrari 296 Speciale uses innovations like an aero damper, active spoiler, and vertical fins to enhance stability and speed. Revised suspension, a lowered stance, and ABS Evo contribute to sharper handling and reduced roll angles.
A 50 kg weight reduction through carbon fibre and titanium construction gives the 296 Speciale a class-leading 1.69 kg/cv power-to-weight ratio. This makes it the ultimate choice for driving purists seeking track-bred performance with road-ready elegance.
