Dubai: The second edition of the Best Companies for Women in Gulf (BCWG) study has been launched by Avtar Group in collaboration with Seramount. This benchmarking initiative identifies organisations excelling in fostering workplace diversity and inclusion across the GCC.
The 2024 edition recognised 10 trailblazing companies for their efforts in empowering women through innovative policies and inclusive work environments. Honourees include Apparel Group, Bayer Middle East FZE, General Motors Overseas Distribution LLC, Gulf FZE, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, Ecolab, Gulf Islamic Investments LLC, KONE MIDDLE EAST LLC, OTIS Elevator, and Wipro Limited, among others. These organisations exemplify leadership in diversity by implementing flexible working arrangements, equitable pay structures, and programs supporting women in leadership.
Key metrics of the study include hiring practices, retention strategies, leadership diversity, and parental leave policies. Results from 2024 showcase significant strides: women now hold 26% of board seats in the Top 10 companies and constitute 26% of top earners, reflecting advancements in gender equity at senior levels.
