Dubai: Dubai International (DXB), the world’s busiest international airport, is gearing up for one of its busiest summer travel periods, with over 3.4 million guests expected between 27 June and 9 July 2025. Daily passenger volumes are anticipated to average more than 265,000, with 5 July forecast as the busiest day for both departures and transfer traffic.

To ensure seamless guest experiences, Dubai Airports has activated an integrated summer readiness plan in collaboration with airport stakeholders. Despite recent regional disruptions leading to isolated delays and cancellations, the oneDXB community is working tirelessly to support passengers, provide welfare where needed, and maintain continuity of service.

A robust, real-time monitoring and predictive system is being used to deploy resources and personnel effectively. Airport authorities remain in close coordination with government and airline partners to prioritise guest safety and deliver operational excellence during this peak period.

To help travellers navigate this high-traffic window, Dubai Airports advises the following:

  • Families with children aged 12 and above can speed up passport control using Smart Gates.
  • Passengers should arrive at the airport no earlier than three hours before flight time.
  • Use online check-in and self-service kiosks, including bag drop facilities at DXB Terminal 3.
  • Take advantage of DUBZ home check-in and baggage collection services for added comfort and ease.
  • Stay up to date with flight and gate information using DXB Express Maps – simply scan a QR code to navigate the airport.
  • People of Determination have access to enhanced support, including marked accessibility paths, discreet assistance via Sunflower Lanyards, and an Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.
