Sharjah Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show unveils rare uncut emerald

Sharjah: The 53rd edition of Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show has returned under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This exciting event promises to captivate attendees with a dazzling exhibit featuring over 500 premium companies and brands from the UAE and around the world. The show, organized by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will run from January 31 to February 4.

As one of the region’s premier specialty exhibitions for watch and jewellery enthusiasts, the event is showcasing a stunning array of timepieces, diamonds, gold, precious stones, pearls, emeralds, and rare, priceless jewellery. Among the highlights is one of the world’s largest uncut emeralds, a four-kilogram natural gem. Visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at this rare emerald and learn about its specifications, certified by a Swiss laboratory specializing in remarkable gems.

Spanning an impressive 30,000 square meters, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show is featuring various activities and surprises for patrons. An international jewellery design contest is among the highlights, with the winner receiving 50 pieces of gold. Attendees can explore a dedicated section showcasing a vast array of emeralds that naturally accumulated in the rocks from which they were extracted.

In a new development, this edition will unveil exclusive 2024 designs eagerly awaited by leading jewellery brand clientele, along with fresh displays from companies creating some of the world’s most renowned timepieces and jewellery. The exhibition will host participants from countries such as the UK, the USA, Russia, China, India, Italy, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and more.

The show will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm, except on Friday when it opens from 3 pm to 10 pm. In addition to the impressive pavilions, the event will feature various programs, events, and activities focused on the artistry and design of gold and jewellery.
