SHARJAH: Sharjah Airport is gearing up to handle a massive influx of over 500,000 passengers during the busy Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Between March 27 and April 6, the airport will manage 3,344 flights, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for travellers.
The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has confirmed that all logistical and operational preparations have been finalised in collaboration with strategic partners and relevant entities. With a robust plan in place, the airport aims to maintain the highest international standards while delivering a seamless travel experience.
To manage the surge, additional personnel will be deployed across all key areas, particularly in customer service, to assist passengers and ensure a hassle-free journey. The airport has also enhanced its facilities, focusing on special services for senior citizens, children, and passengers with disabilities to make their travel more comfortable.
In line with its digital transformation goals, Sharjah Airport is encouraging travellers to utilise smart check-in technologies for a faster and more efficient experience. These advancements will streamline passenger flow, reducing wait times and improving overall service quality.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure to complete travel formalities smoothly.
