DUBAI: Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a record-breaking travel surge, with over 3.6 million passengers expected during the Eid holiday peak from March 26 to April 7. The busiest day is projected to be Saturday, April 5, when a staggering 309,000 travellers are set to pass through its terminals.

On average, DXB will handle 276,000 daily passengers, with the highest traffic anticipated in the first week of April. Departures during Eid week are expected to rise by 19% compared to recent weekly averages, driven by the holiday season.

Key routes are witnessing strong demand, especially among those travelling to visit friends and family. Popular destinations include India, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, leisure travel is seeing a boost, with increased flights to Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Italy.

To ensure a hassle-free journey, Dubai Airports is promoting its DXB Express Maps, a smart wayfinding tool that helps travellers navigate terminals in real time. By scanning a QR code on flight information screens, passengers can quickly locate their gate, explore dining and shopping options, and find essential facilities.

The airport has also enhanced accessibility services for People of Determination (PoD), featuring clearly marked routes, trained staff assisting guests wearing Sunflower Lanyards, and a dedicated Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.

Dubai Airports is working closely with airlines, service providers, and government authorities to streamline passenger flows and deliver a seamless experience throughout the busy period.
