LIWA: The Liwa International Festival 2025 concluded yesterday after 23 days of exhilarating action at Tel Moreeb, the world’s tallest sand dune. Drawing crowds from across the region, the event showcased fierce competitions and a vibrant celebration of sports, culture, and heritage.

Kicking off on December 13 and running until January 4, the festival featured elite racers tackling challenging dunes in categories like Turbo, Hybrid, and Electric cars.

The Saud Al Tel category stole the spotlight, with participants showcasing unmatched skill and determination. Winners were honoured in a grand ceremony attended by key figures, including Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, Chairman of Liwa Sports Club.

Reflecting on the event, Al Qubaisi said, “This year’s festival highlighted the passion and dedication of competitors. The Saud Al Tel category, in particular, delivered thrilling performances.”
