Dubai Stand Up Paddle 2025 sees record 5,000 paddlers join weekend fitness celebration at Hatta Dam, part of Dubai Fitness Challenge.
DUBAI: Dubai Stand Up Paddle 2025, presented by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), made waves this weekend by welcoming over 5,000 participants to the crystal-clear waters of Hatta Dam in the UAE’s most scenic outdoor fitness event to date.
As part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), the two-day event saw paddlers, kayakers, and fitness lovers of all ages embrace a spirit of adventure against the breathtaking backdrop of the Hajar Mountains. This third edition of the flagship outdoor activation marked a milestone moment for the city’s annual 30×30 movement, encouraging residents and visitors to find new ways to stay active in nature.
From beginner-friendly SUP training to tranquil sunset yoga on the water, the event blended movement with mindfulness. Families enjoyed kayaking, wellness sessions, and a vibrant entertainment zone featuring inflatable attractions, face painting, popcorn stations, and family-friendly amenities.
The event transformed into a weekend retreat, offering not just physical activity but also scenic exploration, community bonding, and joyful moments that elevated fitness into an unforgettable experience. Visitors also took advantage of Hatta’s hiking trails, mountain views and dining options, making the most of the immersive outdoor destination.
His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, praised the record turnout and affirmed Hatta’s position as a model for accessible wellness tourism. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, highlighted how nature-infused fitness has the power to inspire connection and well-being.
