Cocina Tres blends authentic coastal Mexican flavours with warm hospitality and standout cocktails in the heart of Business Bay.
Cocina Tres is one of those openings that actually feels considered. Not just another Mexican spot added to Dubai’s list, but a place that understands what it wants to be. Located in Business Bay and brought to the city by VKD Hospitality, the same group behind Miss Lily’s and Honeycomb Hi-Fi, this is their third concept, and it carries its own identity without trying too hard.
From the moment you sit down, you notice this is not built around loud gimmicks. The menu reads like a kitchen that respects coastal Mexican cooking, where seafood, citrus, and fire work together naturally. The ceviche bar sets the tone with sharp, layered flavours, and you immediately feel that these dishes are built with intention rather than trend.
The tacos hold their ground. Baja comes crisp and balanced, arrachera carries depth with mole and heat, and even the vegetarian options feel thoughtful. Tortillas, whether heirloom corn or flour, anchor the table and tie everything together.

The space reflects the same balance. Sunlight during the day, textured walls, warm tones, and a terrace that easily turns one mezcal into two. It feels social but not chaotic. You can settle in and enjoy your meal properly. The bar deserves its own mention. The signature cocktails are built with real attention and confidence, with clarity in the way agave, smoke, and citrus are handled. You can tell the team behind the bar knows exactly what they are doing and takes pride in every glass that leaves the counter.
What truly completes the experience, though, is the people. From the manager to the floor team, there is genuine warmth in the way they run the room. Service feels attentive without hovering. They know the menu, they guide you through it naturally, and they make you feel welcome rather than processed. That kind of hospitality is what turns a good restaurant into a place you return to.
We are lucky to have a place like this in the city. One that makes you stay longer than planned, order one more taco, and start thinking about what you are coming back for next.
