Mission Impossible is undoubtedly one of the best action franchises made in Hollywood. The first installment of the film, starring Tom Cruise as Impossible Mission Force agent Ethan Hunt, came in 1996, and it was a super hit at the box office. Later, multiple films were made under the franchise featuring Cruise in the lead role, who is also one of the producers of the franchise. In 2023, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One had released, but the film wasn’t a huge hit at the box office. Now, a sequel to the film titled Mission: Impossible 8 – The Final Reckoning is all set to release in May this year.
It is the eighth instalment of the franchise, and a sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The trailer of the film has been released, and the first scene itself is a high-octane action sequence, and it will give you adrenaline rush.
Mission Impossible 8 promises to be a perfect action-packed film just like the previous movies in the franchise. However, this might be the last film in the MI series. Yes, there have been reports that Tom Cruise is all set to say bye to the franchise, and there won’t be more films made under the MI series.
Interestingly, in the trailer, Cruise’s character Ethan says, “I need you to trust me, one last time.”
While the last part didn’t do a great business overall, if the movie turns out to be the last one in the MI series, we are sure fans of Tom Cruise will miss him as agent Ethan Hunt.
