The Arsenal Emirates partnership will continue until 2033, keeping the Emirates name on the club’s shirts, training kits and famous London stadium.

LONDON: Arsenal and Emirates are staying together for even longer, with the two sides renewing one of football’s most recognisable partnerships until 2033. The new agreement means Emirates will continue as Arsenal‘s front-of-shirt, training kit and stadium naming rights partner.

The Arsenal Emirates partnership began in 2006, the same year Arsenal moved into Emirates Stadium. Over the past two decades, the Emirates name has become closely linked with the North London club, appearing on the shirts of generations of Arsenal players and on the club’s home stadium.

The latest agreement extends what is already the Premier League’s longest-running front-of-shirt partnership. It also comes at an important time for Arsenal following the club’s recent Premier League title success.

More than a football sponsorship

The relationship between Arsenal and Emirates goes beyond having a name on a football shirt. Over the years, the two have worked together on several projects, including the Emirates Cup, which brings international teams to North London each summer.

Another initiative, Global Gooners, gives Arsenal supporters from around the world the chance to visit London and experience the club and Emirates Stadium for themselves.

Arsenal Chief Executive Richard Garlick said Emirates has been an important part of the club’s journey, sharing many of its biggest moments, challenges and successes over the past two decades.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said the relationship has grown far beyond a traditional partnership, with both organisations working together to connect Arsenal with millions of supporters around the world.

What happens next?

The next chapter of the Arsenal Emirates partnership begins with Arsenal welcoming Borussia Dortmund to North London for the Emirates Cup. Anniversary activities are also planned to celebrate more than two decades of the relationship.

For supporters, the renewal means the familiar Emirates branding will remain on Arsenal’s shirts and at Emirates Stadium for several more years.

By the time the latest agreement ends in 2033, the relationship will have lasted 27 years, making it an unusually long partnership in modern football.

For Arsenal and Emirates, the message is simple: after two decades together, both sides believe there is still plenty more to come.
