Sobha City Abu Dhabi introduces a nature-led waterfront development, blending sustainability, connectivity and luxury living in the UAE capital.

ABU DHABI: Sobha City Abu Dhabi has been unveiled by Sobha Realty, marking its first major residential development in the UAE capital. The master-planned community reflects a shift towards low-density, nature-led living designed around wellbeing, connectivity and long-term value.

Located in Al Bahiya along the E10 and E12 corridor, close to Zayed International Airport and Yas Island, the development spans approximately 38 million square feet. Sobha City Abu Dhabi is envisioned as a fully integrated “city within a city”, offering a self-sustained ecosystem tailored for family-oriented living.

The project places nature at its core, with nearly 60 percent of the masterplan dedicated to green and open spaces. More than 50,000 trees, forest-inspired landscapes and shaded walkways aim to create a calm, immersive environment. An 18-kilometre wellness loop and pedestrian-first pathways further promote an active and balanced lifestyle.

According to Ravi Menon, the launch reflects confidence in Abu Dhabi’s long-term growth as a global destination. He noted that the development is designed to offer a tranquil yet future-ready living environment aligned with the emirate’s evolving urban vision.

A key highlight of Sobha City Abu Dhabi is its two-kilometre waterfront promenade and marina, integrating leisure, retail and social spaces. Essential infrastructure including schools, healthcare facilities and mosques are embedded within the masterplan, alongside an executive Par-3 golf course designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design.

The community will feature a diverse mix of residences, from waterfront apartments to villas and mansions, catering to both families and global investors. Each home is expected to reflect the developer’s focus on design quality and technological integration.

Sobha City Abu Dhabi aligns with broader development goals under Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, supporting sustainable growth, liveability and economic diversification in the emirate.
