SHARJAH: The Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee has announced an extensive schedule for the UAE’s 53rd National Day, honouring the nation’s unity, resilience, and achievements. Running from November 21 to December 2, the festivities span cultural, educational, and entertainment events across Sharjah’s key sites, reflecting UAE’s heritage and the commitment to progress.

Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Committee, expressed gratitude to the leadership for their support and acknowledged the committee’s efforts. He highlighted Union Day as a time to celebrate national pride and commitment to the UAE’s global standing. “Union Day reaffirms our identity as a nation embracing tolerance and invites everyone to celebrate our achievements shaped by our leaders and people.”

• Sharjah National Park: November 21 to December 2, offering arts performances, competitions, and workshops with government and local entities.
• Al Dhaid City: November 27-December 1, with a national march, folklore, and student performances, celebrating unity and heritage.
• Al Bataeh Area: November 28-30, focusing on heritage through parades, horse and car displays, and children’s entertainment. The “Union Bus” will distribute flags and gifts.
• Mleiha: November 21, with a Heritage Village celebration, folklore, local market displays, and a communal dinner.
• Kalba: November 23-25, featuring a national march, operetta, car parade, games, and sports.
• Wadi Al Helo: November 24, hosting folk performances and poetry sessions.
• Khorfakkan: November 22-24, with art workshops, school shows, and a music performance. December 1, a Musical Evening supports The Big Heart Foundation.
• Dibba Al Hisn: November 23, with a public march, national operetta, and poetry readings.
• Al Madam: November 22, offering heritage shows, children’s activities, and fireworks.
• Al Hamriyah: November 27-28, celebrating with parades, poetry, interactive workshops, sports competitions, and senior entertainment.
