DUBAI: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed nine strategic agreements with leading property developers and free zones to streamline infrastructure development and enhance road safety across Dubai.
The agreements aim to establish a unified platform for approving project requests and managing activities within public roads and the right-of-way. This initiative will improve service levels, ensure adherence to top regulatory standards, and support Dubai’s urban development goals.
The RTA’s new partners include Emaar Properties, DAMAC Properties, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Nshama, Al Futtaim Properties, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai Investments Park, and Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority.
Bader Al Siri, Executive Director of Right-of-Way at RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, highlighted that these partnerships align with Law No. (4) of 2021, which regulates road infrastructure in Dubai’s development areas and free zones. He emphasised that this collaboration will enhance traffic management, improve safety for motorists and pedestrians, and ensure efficient road network operations.
“These agreements contribute to a comprehensive, integrated strategy that streamlines infrastructure planning and implementation. By working closely with developers and free zone authorities, we aim to optimise traffic flow, boost safety standards, and maintain world-class infrastructure, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leader in urban mobility,” Al Siri said.
The RTA remains committed to ensuring sustainable and efficient road networks, maintaining Dubai’s modern landscape while upholding global best practices in transportation and infrastructure management.
