Hindu temple in Bur Dubai will shift to Jebel Ali

A Hindu temple in Bur Dubai is bidding farewell, and many people are sad about it. This special place has been a source of comfort and connection for the Hindu community in the heart of Dubai ever since it opened in the 1950’s.

According to sources, the Shiva temple will moved to its new grand location in Jebel Ali which is part of the Sindhi Guru Darbar temple complex. A notice was placed to inform devotees that the temple will close on Tuesday, January 3, 2024.

The Krishna temple will remain opened for devotees until its new location is ready.

For many years, the Hindu temple in Bur Dubai has been a cultural hub, a place for worship, celebrations, and a sense of community. It holds memories of countless gatherings, prayers, and festivals that have brought people together, creating a strong bond among the Hindu residents in the area.

The move will no doubt be a disappointment for many since it was a nostalgic place for old residents. But others may be happy with the move to the new location in Jebel Ali.
