Dubai Police initiatives improve happiness for over 700,000 people in communities

DUBAI: The Dubai Police General Department of Community Happiness has reported significant achievements in 2023, highlighting a successful year in improving community well-being and involvement.

During the annual inspection led by Major General Abdulla Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, the department’s accomplishments were reviewed in detail.

Al Ghaithi received updates on the department’s efforts across various domains, such as government communication, community responsibility, awareness and marketing campaigns, media relations, and community initiatives.

In 2023 alone, the department launched 28 community initiatives that directly benefited 708,800 individuals. Over the past three years, they facilitated 1,353 volunteer opportunities, attracting 32,151 volunteers who collectively contributed 918,725 hours of service to community causes. These initiatives underscore Dubai Police’s commitment to fostering community engagement and enhancing the well-being of residents.

The initiatives included a wide range of activities aimed at promoting safety, education, health awareness, and social cohesion within Dubai’s diverse communities. They also focused on building stronger bonds between the police force and the public, fostering a sense of trust and cooperation.
