A new policy has been announced in Dubai that aims to limit the use of single-use bags.
From July 1, 2022, single-use bags will cost 25 fils at stores across the UAE. It will be applicable to restaurants, pharmacies and e-commerce deliveries.
A complete ban is to be implemented within two years, as per the policy announced by the Executive Council of Dubai.
