The Kryptonite Collider has officially opened at Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, giving visitors an immersive DC-themed adventure inspired by Lex Luthor.
ABU DHABI: Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island, Abu Dhabi has officially launched Kryptonite Collider, its first permanent new ride since the indoor theme park opened in 2018. Inspired by one of DC’s most iconic Super-Villains, Lex Luthor, the attraction invites guests to take part in an immersive experiment designed to unlock superhuman abilities.
Located in the Metropolis zone, Kryptonite Collider is a 32-seat centrifuge-style thrill ride that combines high-speed motion, dynamic visuals, synchronised lighting and onboard audio to create an action-packed experience based on Lex Luthor’s fictional Everyman Project.
The journey begins inside a detailed recreation of LexCorp, where visitors are welcomed into the villain’s laboratory before volunteering for an experiment powered by kryptonite, the legendary mineral known as Superman’s greatest weakness. As the ride accelerates, guests experience powerful spinning movements and immersive special effects designed to simulate the transformation into superheroes.
The attraction concludes with interactive digital displays that reveal each rider’s newly assigned superpowers, adding a personalised ending to the experience and extending the story beyond the ride itself.
Hind Galadari, General Manager of Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, said the attraction marks a significant milestone for the park by bringing one of DC’s most recognisable villains to life through immersive storytelling. She added that every stage of the experience has been designed to create memorable moments for guests visiting Yas Island.
The launch of Kryptonite Collider also coincides with the park’s DC Super Hero Season, which runs until August 30, 2026. During the seasonal event, visitors can enjoy themed entertainment, character appearances and live performances featuring DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains across the park.
The opening follows another major achievement for Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi after it was named the Best Theme Park in the World at the 2026 Liseberg Applause Award, becoming the first attraction in the Middle East to receive the prestigious international honour.
Included with standard park admission, Kryptonite Collider expands Warner Bros. World’s growing portfolio of immersive attractions while strengthening Yas Island’s position as one of the region’s leading family entertainment destinations.
