WAM official media partner for Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has partnered with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) for the second edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award. In a recent signing ceremony at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi, the Director-General of ADAFSA, Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, and WAM’s Director-General, Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi, formalized the agreement.

WAM, as a media partner, will cover the award’s activities in various languages, ensuring widespread dissemination of its media content. Al Ameri highlighted that the award, initiated under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to support outstanding farmers and breeders, promoting sustainable and innovative agricultural practices for food security.

The media partnership with WAM is seen as vital in showcasing the award’s role in agricultural sustainability, food security, and biodiversity. Al Ameri noted that leveraging WAM’s global media partnerships will amplify the award’s objectives and spotlight the country’s agricultural achievements.

Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi expressed pride in WAM’s role as a media partner, aligning with the leadership’s support for the agriculture and livestock sector. WAM commits to providing innovative media coverage for all award events, emphasizing the significance of the award in fostering positive competition among farmers and livestock breeders.

The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award, organized by ADAFSA, seeks to honor exceptional farmers and breeders, acknowledging their contributions to agricultural sustainability and food security. The award has introduced new categories and increased its prize value to AED 10 million for the second edition. This year includes a dedicated category for the best women farm and livestock owners, recognizing their pivotal role in the agricultural sector and contributions to food security. The award has received significant interest, with 621 applications from across the country, reflecting a growing spirit of positive competition in the agricultural community.
