DEWA has renamed its Innovation Centre to ‘Sustainability and Innovation Centre’

DUBAI: DEWA has renamed its Innovation Centre to the ‘Sustainability and Innovation Centre’ as part of its commitment to advancing sustainability in Dubai, particularly during the UAE’s Year of Sustainability. This change underscores DEWA’s ambitious vision to lead globally in sustainable innovation and achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

Located within the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Sustainability and Innovation Centre serves as a pivotal hub for cutting-edge advancements in clean and renewable energy. It plays a crucial role in educating the public through various programs and partnerships with prestigious local and international institutions, fostering greater awareness and understanding of sustainability issues.

Visitors to the Centre can explore state-of-the-art exhibits highlighting DEWA’s journey in electricity innovation and its latest developments in renewable energy technologies. The Centre also offers engaging experiences such as drone demonstrations and holographic presentations. Through innovative Metaverse technology, guests can embark on virtual tours of the expansive solar park, renowned as the world’s largest single-site solar facility under the Independent Power Producer model.

Operating hours are from Saturday to Wednesday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Hologram shows are scheduled every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. The Centre provides discounted admission for children and students, with complimentary access granted to individuals with disabilities. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online at www.mbrsic.ae or via the MBRSIC smart app.
