Sharjah: Sharjah Communication Technologies Free Zone, or COMTECH in Kalba has been launched by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. This freezone project aims to bring more jobs and opportunities to Sharjah by focusing on communication technologies like internet services and digital platforms.

Located in Kalba, COMTECH will operate independently but under the guidance of the Sharjah Communications Technologies Authority. Its main goal is to attract investments and skilled professionals who specialize in technology. This will help boost Sharjah’s economy and make it a leader in the field of communication technology.

The Sharjah COMTECH Freezone in Kalba will have the authority to create rules and policies that support these goals. It will also be responsible for granting licenses to companies that want to set up in the area. These companies might build things like data centers or develop new software that helps people communicate more easily.

This COMTECH Freezone in Kalba initiative shows Sharjah’s commitment to embracing new technologies and creating opportunities for its residents. By focusing on communication technology, Sharjah hopes to attract businesses and professionals who can bring new ideas and innovations to the region. This could lead to more jobs, better services, and a stronger economy for everyone in Sharjah.
