ABU DHABI: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Honorary President of the Future Rehabilitation Centre, officially inaugurated the new Inclusive Library at the Centre’s Abu Dhabi campus, marking a significant step in the UAE’s commitment to inclusive education and social development.

Attended by key figures including Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Group, and Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the Centre, the ceremony celebrated a shared national vision to support People of Determination through accessible learning and opportunity.

Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the Inclusive Library in Abu Dhabi as a powerful symbol of the nation’s drive to foster dignity, empowerment, and innovation. “The inauguration of the Inclusive Library is not merely a ceremonial event, but a clear expression of our collective commitment to building a society that values every individual,” he said. He referenced the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed and the current vision under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who declared 2025 the Year of the Community.

The library initiative, developed with financial and volunteer support from Mubadala, will be student-run, enabling users to grow in leadership, community responsibility, and literacy. Following the event, guests toured the library and viewed a student art exhibition reflecting themes of inclusion and creativity.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak said, “This library is a gateway to inspiration, innovation, and personal growth. By investing in such initiatives, we are nurturing the potential of every individual and reinforcing the values of community, collaboration, and lifelong learning.”

Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim added, “This library represents more than shelves of books—it is a symbol of hope and inclusion. We believe in our students’ potential, and this space is a step forward in unlocking it.”

The Inclusive Library stands as a key milestone in building a more inclusive future for the youth of the UAE, particularly those with determination and talent ready to contribute to national progress.
