ABU DHABI: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, was honoured by the Global Sikh Community at his Majlis for his exceptional contributions to fostering tolerance, coexistence, and interfaith dialogue worldwide.

This prestigious recognition was presented by Dr. Navdeep Singh Bansal, founder of the Sikh Awards, and Surender Singh Kandhari, Chairman of the Guru Nanak Darbar Temple in Jebel Ali. Their gesture celebrated Sheikh Nahyan’s relentless efforts in creating a society grounded in peace, mutual respect, and human fraternity.

In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan credited the UAE’s leadership for prioritising these universal values. He stated, “The UAE, under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is dedicated to supporting and promoting the values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and human fraternity. Our nation serves as a global model for fostering respect among all people, regardless of religion, culture, or background.”

Sheikh Nahyan expressed his gratitude to the Global Sikh Community, highlighting their core values of service and humility. He emphasised that this honour reflects the UAE’s leadership in advancing interfaith harmony and universal human values.
