NEW YORK: UN Secretary-General António Guterres today denounced the escalation of tensions Tuesday in the Middle East, especially between Iran and Israel.
“This must stop. We absolutely need a ceasefire,” he said in a statement on the latest developments in the Middle East.

“I condemn the broadening of the Middle East conflict with escalation after escalation,” Guterres wrote on X.
