WASHINGTON: Donald Trump has announced plans for a Middle East tour, with scheduled visits to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar as early as May. This marks his first international trip since returning to the US presidency.

Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump confirmed Saudi Arabia as a key stop to finalise a $1 trillion investment deal, which includes military purchases and economic investments. He also hinted at additional stops, saying, “UAE is very important … so we’ll probably stop at UAE and Qatar.”

According to agencies, the trip is tentatively planned for mid-May. The visit is expected to focus on regional diplomacy, economic cooperation, and defence agreements.

While Trump remained vague on specific details, he assured that the tour would create tremendous jobs in just a few days.

A White House spokesperson added, “An international visit is being considered, but no official plans have been confirmed.”

With the Middle East playing a crucial role in global trade and security, Trump’s visit is likely to shape diplomatic and economic ties between the US and the region.
